Here's my 1968 Custom Shop Historic Reissue Les Paul Black Beauty, with aged nickel hardware...needless to say, it sounds amazing through BOTH of my Louis amps....

Nice!!
Imo. Murphy's are very special guitars. The mojo factor goes well beyond Tom's incredible aging.
The rolled binding makes them feel so old and broken in. More so my Murphy's aren't just incredibly resonant, the whole guitar actually RINGS when you play it, right through to your spine!
When Lou's amps get a taste of that they have serious sonic multiple orgasms
Am I right?
I used to have a 68 black beauty. The old ones were real boat anchors, like strapping a grand piano
around your back; and they had these tiny ass frets, so they got the name "fretless wonders"
I'm sure they've made improvements on that. |
